Description
KENYA PB MICROLOT
KAMWANGI – KIRINYAGA
An incredible Kenyan, handpicked from the highest quality microlots, this particular variety comes from Baitan, SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 strains. Roughly 985 active members deliver coffee to the Kamwangi factory; each farmer owns an average of 200–250 coffee trees.
The beans were fermented, separated, and washed two times each, then soaked. This soaking process allows amino acids & proteins in the cellular structure of each bean to develop, and is thought to contribute to the flavor profiles that Kenyan coffees are so famed for.
Cupping Notes: Kahlua, cocoa, and cooked coffee cherry with mellow nutmeg flavors. Tart citric acidity and mild candy-like sweetness.
