MICROLOT – MUTITO – KIRINYAGA
An incredible Kenyan, handpicked from the highest quality microlots, this particular variety comes from Baitan, SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 strains. Started in 1963, Mutito Factory lies on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, in the Kirinyaga region.
The beans were fermented, separated, and washed two times each, then soaked. This soaking process allows amino acids & proteins in the cellular structure of each bean to develop, and is thought to contribute to the flavor profiles that Kenyan coffees are so famed for.
Cupping Notes: “Intense brown sugar with dark chocolate and mellow raisin flavors. Tangy acidity and sugary sweetness.”
